Pick a side. Any side.

Rank Everything gives you two completely unrelated things and asks one unreasonable question: which is better? Make your pick, see how the crowd voted, and move on to the next impossible choice.

Every vote joins everyone else’s to build a global ranking across music, movies, animals, food, games, books, places, people, ideas, and whatever category comes next.

How the rankings work

Each item has a score that changes after every counted vote. Beating a highly ranked opponent matters more than beating an underdog, while an upset can move both items further. As more people vote, the rankings gradually settle, and the argument rages on.

The short version: winners rise, losers fall, and surprising results count for more.

Voting rules

• You can cast five anonymous votes before signing in with Google.
• Each matchup counts once per browser or signed-in account.
• Signed-in voters can change a previous pick from My Votes.
• You can delete all your votes from My Votes once every 24 hours.
• Skipping a matchup does not count as a vote.

Your votes and profile

Anonymous votes are associated with a random identifier stored in your browser. If you sign in, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google so we can save your history across devices.

Your profile is private unless you choose to share it. You can turn sharing off or delete your votes from My Votes at any time.

Where everything comes from

The catalog is curated and grows through new additions and player suggestions. Images are downloaded from reusable sources, primarily Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons, and stored with their attribution and licensing information. When a suitable image is not available, the original emoji artwork remains.
